Usaria is an independent, one-man project that originated in the author's mind many years ago from his passion for electric guitar and Metal music, which shaped his taste and artistic values. After years of waiting, this idea has finally come to fruition.
The compositions evolved from the early times as a result of the author's long and wonderful journey mainly through different genres of Metal. It began with Heavy and Thrash influences, which were then followed by Death and Progressive ones thus resulting in a unique blend of styles and defining, complex sound while the writing is inspired by poetry of the Polish Romantic era.
The artistic idea behind the project is to travel back in time to the sources of the author's inspirations when music and sound were subjectively more genuine, complex, meaningful, and uncompromising instead of being a result of generic creation, cold calculations and filtering.
The mission of the band is to bring hope, comfort, and unity to the audience by showcasing the universal and patriotic virtues like honor, independence, justice, courage, and many others during both glorious and tragic times in Polish history presented from different individual perspectives. Remembrance of the nameless heroes and martyrs as well as their difficult experiences of the past is another crucial message delivered by the band, aimed at raising the level of our life's appreciation in these steadily uncertain times.
The word "usaria" was an initial, old-Polish name for an elite, fearsome, and invincible heavy cavalry formation in Poland. The mostly nameless knights (hussars) lived and fought by the rigoristic codex of honor and spent huge amounts of money for their horses and equipment to be able to defend their beloved homeland. It makes the creator of this band irrelevant amidst the message the project brings. Like with the hussars - it's all about the idea. Although it is known the author played in some local underground bands in Cracow, Poland, before starting this project.
Usaria has completed the recording of vocals, mixing, and mastering of their debut concept album, Nekromanteia, which premiered on December 27, 2025. You can find out more about the album itself, the context of the songs on it, and the lyrics in the “music” section. There, you can also listen to all the tracks from the album. We strongly encourage you to purchase the album in digital or CD format from our store to support the project. The singles promoting the album and the album itself are also available on all popular streaming platforms, including Spotify. The album is the first of many planned by the band.
